Job Description

Quality Assurance
Incoming inspection, Inprocess Inspection, Final Inspection & drive improvements on supplier Quality .
Management Representative for India Operations
Drive daily GEMBA review & problem solving Process
Implementation & monitoring of R&R & process capability.
Validation of New products & testing
Monitoring of Instruments Calibration process.
Implementation & monitoring of ISO 9001 2008,BIS,UL,MID & ATEX certification
Customer End & Internal Rejection Analysis, Planning and Monitoring Corrective Action.
Conducting Management review, internal audits, process audits.
Planning for new inspection methods, approval of quality plan
Monitoring of measuring instruments & tracking the calibration.
Responsible for plant MRB reviews and disposals.
Implementation of SAP QM.
Evaluation of Supplier SCAR to ensure that proper preventive actions are initiated at supplier process.
To Train & motivate the team members towards organization goals.
Manufacturing Engineering
Create and ensure Production BOM in line with Engineering BOM having close interaction with Engineering
Ensure proper machine and process layout to have smooth flow of products with optimization of space to support quality improvement , Productivity improvement with lean concepts
Responsible to establish standard work for processes
Create SOPs which is necessary to carry out the process
Provide necessary gauges and fixtures and test equipments for the production process
Carryout PFMEA at appropriate time to have the failure modes and ensure controls in place
Identify cost reduction projects and work on it to support plant performance
Closely work with Quality for creation/updation of control plans whenever necessary
Lead ECN process to complete on time
Identify and work on process improvement projects to support quality improvement as ongoing support
Provide technical support to production line for day to days line issues
Lead and participate in kaizen process and develop the associates in the area of DBS tools and methods.
Create developmental plans for each associate work under ME and co ordinate for providing training on various tools and techniques to meet the departmental objectives
Responsible to maintain and improve quality management system requirement related to ME
Audits existing processes and systems to assess/determine actions required for improvements.

Bachelors degree in Engineering with experience of 8-10 yrs in the areas of Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing process, Improvement projects etc
Work experience of 4-5 years in the areas of Quality and 4-5 yrs in the areas of Manufacturing Engineering/Process Engineering in an reputed industry. Preferably from Automotive industry.
Minimum of 2-4 years experience with lean manufacturing and Toyota Product Systems
Should have experience as Head of the department handling team and should possess strong leadership skills
Ability to drive to factual root cause and identify appropriate short and long-term countermeasures.
Strong people and communication skills, analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement efforts also essential
Ability to work without close supervision.
Proficient at the use of MS office applications including Word, Excel, and Access.
Knowledge and experience in Lean manufacturing, Toyota Production Systems and synchronous manufacturing, Process Layout, VSM, Six Sigma, PFMEA, SMED, TPM etc
Knowledgeable in the use of computers and cameras
Knowledge and understanding of Employee Involvement and Team Development skills
